UEI participated in IBC 2024, the world’s most inspiring content and technology event

IBC brings together global leaders in media, entertainment, and technology for an exciting live experience. UEI's Video Service Providers (VSP) division was present at the Amsterdam RAI exhibition center from September 13-16, 2024.

UEI is shaping the future of the connected home experience. Our QuickSet IP platform allows users to discover, control, and interact with nearly any smart home device. We showcased a full demo of this in the Experience Room at our booth.

Before the show, we asked ourselves: “Can you improve the customer care experience while reducing costs?” Visitors found the answer in UEI’s SupportView Device Management solution: “Yes, you can.”

We also highlighted our sustainability efforts, particularly our latest innovation that upgrades existing or legacy remotes, regardless of the manufacturer, to eliminate the need for battery replacements. These pioneering advancements are what make UEI a market leader.

Lastly, we were thrilled to unveil our redesigned UEI Eterna XLR remote, making it even more sustainable. This award-winning remote uses a High-Density PV Panel to harvest ambient light and stay charged, making it the greenest remote we’ve ever created.

We've equipped the UEI Eterna XLR Battery-Free remote with a USB-C port, so you can easily recharge its built-in energy storage (a hybrid supercapacitor, which is far more sustainable than traditional batteries) if it ever runs out of power. The remote is powered by the UE962 Xtreme Low Power BLE controller with energy harvesting capabilities. Its casing is made from 95% post-consumer recycled (PCR) ABS, and it’s shipped in single-use plastic-free (SUP-free) packaging. The design also allows for easy disassembly, making refurbishment, reuse, and recycling at the end of its lifecycle straightforward.
