Senior General Accountant

We have a complex accounting team who supports global operations.  Here you will be challenged with interesting work in an evolving and growing technology firm with a rich history and stability.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities for this position include the ability to:

  • Assist with the general ledger and month-end closing activities including:
    • Analyze, reconcile and prepare monthly reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts for domestic and foreign entities.
    • Prepare and enter recurring and adjusting journal entries.
    • Maintain and reconcile various intercompany accounts with collaboration from foreign offices.
    • Perform foreign entity consolidations including verifying foreign currency translation adjustments.
    • Assist in the review of foreign entity reconciliations.
  • Maintain SOX controls and update SOX documentation as required.
  • Assist with the statutory government and tax filings for domestic and foreign entities.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly sales tax filings.
  • Support quarterly reviews and annual audit with external auditors.
  • Ad-hoc projects.


At a minimum, the selected individual must possess the following characteristics:

  • Self-starter who possesses an attention to detail.
  • Team oriented with strong leadership skills.
  • Ideally SOX and Manufacturing environment
  • Strong time management, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts and application of those concepts to General Accounting.
  • Flexible and adaptable to a changing environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and self-manage deadlines.
  • Strong technology skills, particularly heavy experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS is a plus.
