Principle Technical Project Manager/Data Analyst

As a leading member of this multi-disciplinary team you will be involved in every aspect of next generation data-driven products (ideation, architecture & development, market positioning, etc.). This would require deep understanding of UEI’s core technologies as well as technology trends in data mining & cloud services. You will always be faced with a new puzzle to solve with current or new technologies with a single goal in mind, an unmatched user experience for our products.

Role Overview

This Technical Program Manager role is focused on data analysis, feature and scenario validation for a range of consumer grade product(S). He/She will work closely with product management and engineering to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. The TPM will ensure collected data is accurate, congruent and reliable. This individual will ensure the information is easily available to users for direct consumption or integration with other systems across the organization. This TPM will be accountable for providing leadership and independent initiatives in gathering, documenting and providing market, device related data to all levels of management. He/She will work closely with the business and technical teams and is a major contributor to the requirements specification deliverable. This person has a good business acumen, solid technical background to ensure successful integration between business and technology

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive E2E test cases at the application and multi-application levels 
  • Create direct channels of communication to software and application developers that get the job done without managerial interjection 
  • Identify business trends utilizing real data, compile analysis reports that are delivered to engineers and then follow-up on all results 
  • Implement a comprehensive management plan for each project and hold regular stakeholder meetings to keep all interested parties updated in project progress 
  • Determine and document requirements for business processes and abide by those requirements for future projects
  • Performs feasibility analysis, and work with the product team to prioritize deliverables.
  • Partner with cross-functional business and technical teams to deliver data insights, identify trends and opportunities, and answer business questions
  • Create detailed Business Requirement Document (BRD) and translate it into functional specifications to influence business decision making and product roadmap through data-based recommendations
  • Provides analytic support by coordinating data extraction from various data sources
  • Partners with development and analytic teams to provide necessary reports to support strategic planning
  • Participates in Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Functionality Testing
  • Review and validate customer data as it is collected 
  • Develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data 
  • Create or discover new data procurement and processing programs 
  • Perform data profiling to identify and understand anomalies
  • Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results
  • Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members
  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements
  • Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Required – An Innovator, disrupter, and entrepreneur and a natural hands-on leader
  • B.S. degree in Engineering or Business or related field with 8+ years of experience, graduate degree preferred
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, and highly comfortable with C-Level interactions
  • Proven track record to build a business echo system within a fast paced environment
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Technical Program Manager in a consumer-focused product
  • Minimum 3+ years of Project oversight, customer presentation
  • 3-5 years of experience in development processes and SDLC methodologies is required for this position 
  • Analytical with problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues
