The selected candidate will be part of the Engineering Test group and will work closely with the Electrical Engineering department, but must also interact with various other disciplines within the company.  This position performs technical functions in support of product development activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype products. Work is done under the direction of professional engineers or supervisors.


  • BS in Electronics (or equivalent technical training)
  • Requires a strong foundation of electronic circuit theory with the ability to understand circuit functions from written or verbal instructions
  • Electronic trouble-shooting skills are a must
  • Requires a strong functional understanding of general test equipment
  • Experience with: Oscilloscopes, DMM's, Signal Generators, Power Supplies, and more
  • Knowledge of OrCAD/Protel/Altium/PADS Schematic capture and Layout tools
  • Basic Soldering/Re-work skills
  • PC knowledge (including MS Excel and MS Word)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are a must
  • Proficiency in the English language a must
  • Must be detail-oriented and should possess good inter-personal skills to be able to interact with various engineering departments
  • Quick learner and able to take direction


  • Coordination with design team on new and existing product test requirements
  • Troubleshoot Factory issues, such as test setups, programming issues, wrong test methods, etc…
  • Develop Hardware test stations which are then integrated into a production environment. Stations will address circuit level as well as IR and RF performance.
  • Fault find to component level and co-ordinate with the Design HQ for solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production yield issues
  • Component qualification
  • Electrical testing/product evaluation
  • Creation/signoff of product evaluation reports
  • Microcontroller programming
  • Assembly/test of engineering and factory test equipment
  • Uses basic mathematics, filter design, and circuit analysis principles to make decisions in debugging new circuit designs
  • Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions
  • Will support product development and sustaining engineering as required
  • Perform audio evaluation of microphone and speaker products.
